A while back I acquired some Bilstein shocks for the Ninety. I wasn't 100% sure what spect they were, but some Googling confirms they are the B6.

It is more the age now that puts me off a Puma, I was once told by an employee that Ford only ever engineer a product for the first owner, beyond that they feel it's not their responsibility

You'll want to look at off set too.
BFG say 7.5 - 9.5" rims for that size, so no not really, although they could probably be made to fit if your local tyre fitter is willing.
