What size tyre for a 7J
Hello all

I prefer a 8J but some wheels I’ve found and I like are 7J

Would I be able to fit a 285 75 16 on them?

Pics would be brilliant

You'll want to look at off set too.

BFG say 7.5 - 9.5" rims for that size, so no not really, although they could probably be made to fit if your local tyre fitter is willing.

285 is quite a fat tyre though, likely to stick out of the arches (illegal in the UK) and/or give terrible turning circle.

Personally prefer 255/85R16, but limited tyre selection currently.

Another option is 33.10.50R15, but obviously you'll need 15" rims. This size is the same height as the 285/75 pretty much, but not quite as fat.
