I'm surprised but not surprised at the weight of it, although I was a bit surprised that Harry found it a bit less than idea for towing with given its been designed to do the work as such.

I think for what we do the fact we can have a pickup and run the older L322 for half the price is where I'd stay.

The weigh bridge results on Harry's video surprised me. A shade under 3 tonnes, it's a bit of a porker! I'm not surprised the fuel economy is so bad. Additionally the turning circle is larger than the old 110, which is already ship like.

I think the vehicle fits a very narrow brief for over landing in wide open spaces.

That is good news. I was favouring the petrol engine simply because I think the legislation around diesel will tighten harder and faster, but everything I've read / heard about the two choices points to the diesel being the better fit for the vehicle, and I guess that is where the re-map / tuning community will focus efforts.

I think legislation will tighten for all il types to be honest. But diesel will be around for a long long time yet I think simply because the Goverment can’t afford not to get the taxes charged on it and if they make things to hard the millions of commercial vehicle business owners will cause to many problems

This is from Tom Sheppard's "Vehicle Dependent Expedition Guide". This is frpm the 1998 edition which features the Land Rover tdi engine. I wonder if the Grenadier had been around where it would feature in the chart.
I thought it would blow up more, so sorry it is hard to read Crying or Very sad

Looks like a normal intro for a new vehicle judging by the poll on the Gren forum. Very few total stoppers but lots of niggles. Reading through the pages, the tech and screen appear to be crashing and losing the Speedo display etc.

There's a lot to be said for an analogue instrument cluster with speedometer, RPM fuel and temperature gauges.

Worked well in vehicles for the past 100 years, sometimes old is good.

You say that, but it reminds me of the Henry Ford quote: “if we had asked the people what they wanted, they would have said Faster Horses”!

True but the last 100+ years all we been getting is faster cars...

Digital dash is hardly a completely different take on the same thing. It's the same thing, in fact it's the 'faster horse' in a way.

Horses had their shortcomings, analoge dash not really.

But sure people want it and is probably cheaper as well to make.
