Been a while but can now say that the rear ARB has been fitted (with superpro bushes). What solved the problem?
Well ....
The fuel pump died and I had to replace it, which involved removing the tow bar support legs and dropping the tank.

That's when i noticed that the fuel tank cradle , which is mounted using 2 bolts at the front and 2 studs into the rear crossmenber at the back was so badly corroded (flopped around like a piece of tinfoil) that the back end wasnt attached to the crossmember, it was resting on the towbar support arms!

New fuel pump, and support cradle and tank now in correct position, which gives me loads of space between the cradle and the ARB .. .happy bunny

I hope you don't mind if I jump in with my set of problems...

I trashed my original rear ARB 15 years ago somewhere in Gabun. Now I thought it might be sensible to install a new ARB kit. So I went and bought a standard one, plus I organised a spacer because of my 2" lift. So far so good, but now when I try to install it, the bar seems to be too narrow? The bar links are not lined up correctly IMHO. Anyone knows what's going on here? How can I "fix" this?

And yes the screws are not tightened on the pix, ignore that! BTW this is my old One Ten my88. Is the mount on the chassis maybe a bit to wide for this piece of kit?

Looks like the ARB is bent. The bars towards the axle should be parallel to each other.

Only thing I can think of like above its bent or it maybe the wrong type for the Salisbury axle you have? Are rover axle brackets different?

Not sure it's bent, it's just not wide enough. Are there different sizes? Could someone with a salisbury axle measure the dimensions of the ARB?
