2010MY onwards was 4 pin fronts. IIRC

Not so, there are many 110 and 130 post this date that have 4-gear diffs according to the build sheet but actually have 2-gear diffs in the axle case.

For different reasons I had cause to check my Topix build sheet for a MY2013 - 2 pin diffs front & rear:

Maybe I have 4 pin fitted...

Just going to throw my 10p in on this thread.

It is not just Puma's this happens to, my 2003 Defender TD5 110 with a standard map has had the front diff do exactly as described in the first post. Made a hell of a mess of the gear teeth. Thankfully I was decelerating for a 30mph when the pin jammed the crown wheel. We stopped very quickly and mercifully were the only people on the road. It is not something I would want to happen to anyone else.

I am about to change the diff oil in my 2010 110 so after reading this blog, I think I will check the front diff. I have one of those cheap camera probe things where the camera is on a stalk and has a light in it. I got it from Aldi and have had a few occasions to use it on other vehicles.
