Am I imagining it? Wheel spacers….
I’ve just added some 30mm wheel spacers to my 110. Look brilliant. Nothing too lary but fill the arches nicely.

However, I’m certain the ride quality has improved. Much smoother and comfy. I’m not talking about hard driving or cornering, I drive very conservatively……. Just feels better.

I can’t imagine why this would be the case but a great side effect even if it’s in my head.

Probably flex in the wheel bolts!

(Levers, as you're 30mm each side further out it will be less harsh)

Moving the wheel out has the effect of softening the suspension in roll. The wheel has a longer lever over the spring and anti roll bar. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

It is not in your head, as you have increased the distance from the wheel to the spring/shock.
But you should not feel any difference when both wheels on an axle go through a bump at the same time, such as over a speed bump. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

When I fitted mine years ago, it was instantly noticeable that it handled and drove differently but much better than stock!

Cheers

Glad I’m not going mad. A noticeable difference for a mere 60mm wider stance combined.
