Excellent. Thanks Dorsetsmith. Have pondered on doing this before. So that all comes to about £100 and probably a much better idea than buying a cheap OEM part Thumbs Up

hi,
in the process of stripping down the pump as I have come across many continental VDO motors on ebay for around £160 I am stuck at the green hose. I will continue tomorrow.

I cannot open the pictures but It is nice to know that it can actually be done Smile hope i do not snap something. Does the stainless steel clip require a special tool (name if possible)

You can use side cutter or cv boot pliers if you’re careful.

These type will work https://www.amazon.co.uk/QWORK-Pliers-Clic...mp;sr=8-43

Hello the clamp was removed the hose was still tight.

Is it ok to use a regular s/s clip instead of the ear clips?

I’d use the ear clamps, they’re not hard to get, most motor factors would have them. No moving parts and tight seal.
