I don't think there is a Shift R but Syncro do make a Slick Shift for Td5.

I don't think it would hit the cubby but I'm not sure if you could use the cupholder if it was raised.

Vote for the your shift R version 2 for me I had a good read up on both and decided to go with shift R no assembly required just went straight in and was a big improvement

One minor benefit the Shift- R has over the Slick is that it doesn’t suffer from potential rotational movement over time or installation related adjustments before final fit. Or any concerns about fixings loosening over time.

I was surprised to find that my original factory fitted unit was actually broken, no wonder I had so much movement in it at the time.
If ever you notice significant movement in it it maybe that or Prop UJ’s, worth checking if you have the mats out even if you don’t wish to upgrade you can lube the existing fitment which I don’t doubt will improve it. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧
