I don't think he said there were 191 in the zip code? You have to enter a zip code to obtain the inventory. You also have to put a mileage radius in. We don't know what he entered. I used a 1,000 mile option on a Washington zip code.

I think the suggestion was the sale price was not MSRP?

Have you tried the "Get Paul Miller sale price" button? I would but I'm in the wrong timezone!

And don't forget that thread developed on the back of

I was told people in America are going nuts over the new defender and paying way over list price just to get them.

Supacat you keep coming back for more this is amazing!

If you must know, I used the information on the listings and re-built all three vehicles on the LRUSA site and arrived exactly at the Sale Price they have them for. Therefore, MSRP = Sale Price from that dealer on those three.

Well fair play to you on the MSRP ~ I know it takes effort to tease some of these facts out and shining some light on some of the more egregious comments/declarations being made.

There you go again, extrapolating with very little data...

Yes if anyone quotes me the polite thing to do is reply. So i will always reply. Your the one that’s clearly very annoyed about people saying the defender is in demand in America and it’s hilarious.

I bet your the type who will slate the new defender and then in a few years you will buy one and then say just how bad the old one was Rolling with laughter

It beggars belief. JLR knew when they were going to be killing off the old Defender. It's not as if it was a surprise. The factory didn't burn down and no earthquake took out the production line.

How on earth have they got in this position?

The replacement should have been ready to go immediately after the last one left Solihull. How can it take another 18 months to bring the 90 out? An absolute farce Rolling Eyes

Somewhere, in some boardroom, I bet there are some very stressed people? If there isn't, and JLR are just coasting along, I am afraid all hope has gone for them.

I am starting to think they didn't have the money at the time to start anything at all. Nissan are working on the new quashi now, We are trialing new parts for it as we speak, I have seen the arches and bumpers. Thumbs Up The new leaf and juke were the same. In fact i assembled the rear back door finishers for the leaf prototype cars. Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it!

Happy to take you up on that bet.

How about we both give Martin £100. In two years if I have done what you say I will have done, i.e. bought a new Defender (type L663), you can nominate a charity to receive my £100 and get your stake money back less a donation to the forum. If I have not bought one, then I'll nominate a charity for your £100 and get my stake money back less a donation to the forum.

That's assuming you will be still around in two years and not swapped back to an Audi Q7?
