Replacement lights
Currently have Wipac LED side/repeater lights fitted at the front but want to revert back to the original look whilst keeping the bright LEDs. Any suggestions?

There are a couple of options: if you can get them, fit River Runner 70mm LED light units or fit LED bulbs to standard light units. There are a whole range of opinions available about the legality of the latter but take a look at Classic Car LED's for some very nice replacements and have a search on here for some feedback. Darren

I have the classic car LED's and they are outstanding.

There is a thread on them on here so the search function should bring it up.

Just had a peruse of their website and options seem to be endless. Not too clued up on amps and volts so was hoping you could advise on the ones you fitted to your truck. Many thanks!

I got these

I also got new wipac crystals but I am sure they would work with any headlamp units with the same results.

I think the OP was asking about sidelights not headlights.

I fitted these at the front after doing my headlights because my original sidelight looked so yellow and feeble.

I put LED bulbs in standard light units when I had mine, got them from Advanced Factors (site sponsor?), worked a treat!

Hello stephan123

I wanted to do the same, up the 'light quality' but keep a standard look, so I bought X4 of these (X2 as Spares)
all 3 years ago and the original 2 are still OK.

This was a bit of a trial for me, but I really didn't like the yellowed / warm look of the originals alongside of a decent
main headlight bulb, I know there are compliant issues for some but even raising this with my MOT Station all was OK.

Hi Blackwolf/LRA,

Maybe a silly question, but for a 2011 2.4 Puma are these simply just a straight swap with no adjustments needed to the wiring etc? Is it the 'Negative Earth' option we need for the sidelights.

I am running Wipac for the main headlights. If so, that's excellent! Bow down

Yes, just fit them in place of the old bulbs in exactly the same way as a normal bulb. Negative earth is what you need.

Hi Blackwolf,

Thank you very much, I find all these light options very confusing! Laughing

Cheers

I know what you mean, far too many choices now! In the old days it was so simple....

Thanks Skip! Do they also come in amber? I woud rather keep stick with clear lenses for the front indicators. Many thanks
