After a drive yesterday to Dover and a midnight ferry I’ve now landed at my destination in France. It’s hot. Some of the dinitrol I put in is trying to get out due to exhaust heat and weather.

Might look tidy but it he job itself was mega messy. I did it on the hottest day of the year thinking it would allow the wax to vaporise well and spread. It did. I had to shower using washing up liquid. Paper suit proved useless and any drips went straight through.
Very happy with the result though and will top/ touch it up yearly from here on in.

Yes very satisfied

It was this corner that the hub and nut got chewed. Fortunately lrparts is only half an hour away so obtaining all the correct parts wasn’t an issue.
I’ve done over 1000 miles in the last Three days so all brakes drive flanges and new stub axel and bearings have been well tested.

Following a 1500 mile round trip to France we returned to some vandalism in the garden. A trampoline and some other items had been slashed. I have now finally installed cctv something I have been intending to do for a long time. Following my post about not locking the truck whilst in France this was particularly frustrating. I think we have been lucky not to experience more damage or a break in. The truck is now covered by a camera when parked and and the perimeter of my property is also completely covered.
A real sad state to have to be in.

Wipers stopped working on intermittent yesterday. Took the relay out and tapped it on the gear nob and put it back. Fixed. Gotta love a cheap fix.

Bet it won’t be as easy on a new one. There will be three ecus, black magic, voodoo and many relays involved.

Used it to collect some wood.

Along with a trailer load managed to move the whole tree.

Should have several loads to collect in the next few weeks so the truck will get a good workout.

Following a tough two weeks collecting wood using a mates ifor cattle box the oil service indicator came on. Quick trip to local gsf for some 5w30 c1 and a filter and ten mins to swap it all and it’s done. Milage is now 86500. It took me an hour to remove accumulated junk from it yesterday. Chain saws oil mauls wedges clothes coats boots cycling gear bits of bike and tools. Happy with how it’s running just need to tart up windscreen frame and a corner of a body capping in the warmer months.
