What a brilliant thread. just sat here for ages reading it all. A great job well done! I have recently had a go with mine but no where near as detailed, deep or good looking. I also painted myself but got a lot of the dreaded orange peel so its off to a pro when the pennies allow. How easy was separating the bonnet shell? Also I note you sprayed at different times - how did you ensure proper colour match? No mods for me yet but thinking of wheel spacers as a start. Thank you! Yours looks good to me! It's quite easy to separate the bonnet frame and skin, just drill out the spot welds on the back edge then drill the rivets on the front. Mine has an aluminium frame and steel skin. I think the later ones were all steel. I just bought 5L of base coat to ensure a colour match. Went for 180 quid and it had tax and test on it too! I couldn't buy it due to lack of space at the time.
