The brochure is interesting, for example it seems to suggest that there is a coil spring option which I wasn't expecting.

Also it is interesting to note that the greatest payload in any of the 110 versions is only 900kg, which is a bit feeble, and unless the commercial versions yet to come go on a massive diet they will all be too heavy to fit into the Dual Purpose Vehicle category and therefore will be subject to reduced speed limits and lose the other benefits of being DPVs.

I wonder if this time LR will at least offer an integrated digital tachograph in the new commercials.

So Lego have beaten JLR to get a version to market you can actually buy with a working winch Laughing

What's the legal issue (assume it's that) why you can't have the jump seat in a 5+2 110?

Is the satin protective film clear or is it actually the same colour as the paint underneath?

Calling a lack of centre cubby box a "cabin walk-through" seems to be guilding the lilly a bit.

Seem to be a little confused on the roof rack:

"Expedition Roof Rack1 has a lightweight, fully integrated design, providing a dynamic load capacity of up to 132kg."*
"The dynamic roof load allows for up to 168kg"*.
*Defender 110 with off-road tyres.

The 110 looks good, it's just a shame the average person has been priced out of buying it! 2007 2.4 90 fettled & remapped.

I'm guessing, but 'if' there is a commercial 110, it may have HD coils in place of air.

opt for coils and you cannot have Terrain Response 2 in rock crawl or wading mode? Surely those options alter more than ride height?

Just watched the 13min launch video on LR's Youtube website. To give a clear indication of just how far this car has pushed into the 21c as it 'reaches out' to its 21c liberal-urban audience, the terminology used by the narrator is straight out of some Shoreditch based snowflake/hipster/fashionista's grammar guide.

At no point does the narrator refer to 'THE Defender' only ever 'Defender'. Much like the current trend for uber-cool pre-natal classes refering to a soon-to-be-born sprog as just 'Baby'. Not THE baby, or YOUR baby, just Baby. Like it's its name; to personalise your connection to the yet-to-appear small human. And so, some snazzy-shirted marketing type has decided to do the same with the new Defender. Not THE Defender, not YOUR Defender, just 'Defender'. Defender does this, Defender can do that, you can programme this on Defender. As if it is a living, breathing, thinking animate object that you can have a pint with. Correction, have a craft beer or green-tea with.

Is it a typo that the petrol variant 110s can only tow 3,000kg? It's 3,500kg for the 90 equivalents?

Here is my bit. For all they have shown videos and talked about capabilities they have not produced that much evidence to us of how it has performed in the real world.
They have an opportunity to do this and look rather special. Keswick Mountain Rescue team rolled a 110 last Saturday on the way to a call out. Vehicle is probably a write off but thanks to roll cage all occupants only had minor injuries.
Land Rover should lend them one of the new 110’s until their vehicle can be permanently repaired or replaced. It would do far more good in terms of marketing than all the medallion guff we saw from Frankfurt. 1995 Defender 110 CSW

It’s the same with Disco3 and Disco5 as well as Evoque and DiscoSport - you loose TR functions if you don’t have air springs Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
