I'm very happy with the end result (thanks Brendan Thumbs Up ).
Just neaten's things up a bit in my opinion and actually makes it look 'finished.'
Gave me the opportunity to use a bit of dinitrol, ACF50 and ceramic paste in places that don't normally see light of day Thumbs Up

Strangely enough, SWMBO isn't as excited by it all as I am Whistle

She hasn't seen the new MUD Curry Hooks fitted though! Rolling with laughter

Agree with David, unfortunately, it does look good... Thumbs Up

And, having seen the huge difference it makes I guess that has to be next on the shopping list... Whistle

SWMBO will not need to know... Mr. Green

I've just bought some of the LRI retainers but they didn't come with any of the paste/lubricant mentioned.

I don't want to cause future corrosion problems so I have a pot of duralac I'm planning to slap around everywhere.

Just wondering what everyone else uses & if anyone has any advice? - thanks

I did a lot of research on the carpets a while back and eventually bought the Exmore trim luxury set. Bearmach has 10% off for first order. Very luxury feel. BA 4339 for 7 seat Puma

I heard from a few forum members that the LRI carpets rotted and were replaced under warranty. I can't personally comment on this but what I can say is the fitting and the thickness of the Exmore trim ones is just brilliant.
I have installed 3mm sound deadening under them too.

For interest, I also bought the LRI stainless trim. But to go with the exmore carpets. Fits well but didn't know Brendan sells them and in hindsight should have gone for brushed, not polished.

Brendans threshes also have a groove in them which helps prevent water ingress(partly by preventing the water crossing but mostly the shape which does not squish the doorseal) in the not one size fits all defender build quality.
