what a nightmare i had, on the way to work yesterday i had my rear indicator go off, so i gave the corner a tap and it come on for a second and then went off. I thought ok, i will wait till i get back home, as i had this problem before on the other side, due to corrosion on the contacts on the bulb. Gets home and unscrew the light and unplugged it. Then to my horror, one of the pins had rotted in half and snapped in the loom. Great so i have to order off a new lamp housing now. The defender is off the road until that comes in the post, which might be tomorrow. Not the end of the world as i do have my old trusty, Also i am looking at buying a little plug in heater for the car too, just to get the cab warm quicker. Any one got any ideas on a decent little heater? Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

got the light sorted out, no pictures though of the quick fix, with it coming in dark and it was practically starting to rain sadly. How quick it all comes in dark before it rains now is in real! lights on going to work, and lights on leaving work. Rolling Eyes Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Great you got the light sorted out, had a similar problem with my brake lights, turned out to be a relatively new set of lights that were fitted by the previous owner, rubbish quality, the brake light bulb pin and the side light bulb pin were touching causing no end of bother so replaced the lot front and back with a good decent set of standard ones.

I was reading your earlier posts, would it not be better if you fitted a new rear crossmember, it would probably work out quicker in the end and be a far better job than patching the old one, you’ll end up patching a patch once you start welding.

Always something to do Thumbs Up

OJ Me and my dad did look at this last year when I had welding done, and for the cost of the part and then its finding some one that would weld that in place for me, My mate I can see not been very keen on the idea due to the lack of experience, even it would be a bridge to far for me too.
I would rather put the cash towards a replacement chassis Thumbs Up
yeah I have been down that route before with my rover metro gta 16v, once you start that's it you are patching patches. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

After the new year is over, I am going to double check my radiator parts, and then order my rad. I may replace the cowling too With a one from YRM metals and have it painted at work. I will do the Oil and filter change too while I am at it. makes like a little easier if I am draining the Oil cooler system. Smile
Also I am toying with the idea of kitting out the rear end with the trims but I may get a headling 1st too, Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

My defender, two Censored took her the early hours of this morning, looks like its been about 3 am, looking at the camera footage. Evil or Very Mad Police has been involved, so I am waiting here for a phone call, I am climbing the walls at the moment!! Picture has been shared on facebook on two groups, and by me too. Be lucky if I see her again now. Sad Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Don't say on any internet platform, but I hope you had some security on it that might help find it.

This is getting crazy now, if your right, and I hope you're not, I trust your insurance company are easy to deal with.

Been another car involved, after looking more at the footage. They have parked quite far away, you can just see it move away after mine goes. Too far for any regs. Looks like its a sliver or white clio Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
