As above, Procta, I too am disappointed to hear of your missing Defender.

I never did appreciate any little rats helping themselves to other peoples possessions, but especially knowing first hand the time and monies, not to mention the hours of hapless thinking involved in owning maintaining and improving such a vehicle.
I do hope you have some good news in the next day or two.

This is getting crazy now, if your right, and I hope you're not, I trust your insurance company are easy to deal with.

I feel for you Procta, it's just not fair.

Had my disklok on her.

Really sorry to hear about this - it shows how useless a Disklok is which is very disappointing

We have to rework the drive away to keep my dads safe, just in case they come back for that one or for parts at least. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Well they have been at my neighbours at the back 3 times, and the last hit was 3 in the morning before mine was nicked, so its been the same faggots. His was targeted twice last week and then before mine. So looks like we have a sunderland /north east gang going about on a shopping spree.
Insurance want to talk to me about it on Thursday so we will see happens from now on. I will be ringing the police again tomorrow to chase up, and continue to do so.
Not sure what will happen afterwards, we are into the land of the unknown. I would like another one, but I think may go TD5, due to me not been able to bag another sweet heart 300. Sad Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Yeah I am looking at the TD5 now, But its going to be a tuff one getting my hands on another one. Sad Just so many things I wanted to do with this one this year, I was looking at an interior refit in the back end, hence your rear pods. I will be belling the police again to see what they found if anything. Insurance wants to talk to me about it too, so I will have to check my policy on to see what why and when.
laugh is i have 2 fast metros which were a joy riders dream, One wasn't even touched and the other was blagged, but never moved. Now the slowest and heaviest car have owned, they take it! Rolling Eyes Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Looks like some of them are been chopped up to make trial motors, If what i saw from the two that was found in my area. a 110 was chopped.
Also i reported a reg that blagged two defenders, from two near by areas. I was told that another one was stolen on sunday just miles away from me. So it could be the same gang thats working there way across the board or another one thats just got in the act, as it wasnt no where near as bad!! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Its one mega night mare pal. No leads on mine, but a suspected car reg has been having a go at two in the north east area, so i have put the reg forward to the police, Sometimes people dont bother letting the police know or the police wont push it further, unless another hit with the same reg.
Us defender lads really need to unite and start to fight back! get to know other defender owners in the area, and even other land rover model owners that are getting hit. So we can go on a little raid ourselves and do some public arrrests, to help the police out more, due to their cut backs. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
