I assume you have tried wires both ways onto new light fitting?

Filament lights are not polarity sensitive.
LEDs are polarity sensitive. You need to swop the two wires on the rear indicator plug to get it to work. Brendan |

It is plug and play with fitting plugs to fit the original socket.
Do you think this could still be t h e issue?? |

Yes I do.
If you have a decent multimeter, set it to a range like 20 volts DC. Carefully note the orientation of the socket on both rear indicator and measure the voltage on indicating. Chances are one will show a negative voltage and the other a positive voltage. Brendan |

Thank you all for the responses. I'm guessing that as the LED is pre-wired it must be within the wiring on the vehicle.
I will give it a try when I get home tonight and report back!! |

You can check this by comparing the wiring on the other side of the vehicle as the wires are colour coded

There is no need to cut plugs off! It us quite easy to remove terminals from Econoseal connectors without damage!
