The range rover is now in the workshop ready to start stripping for paintwork and a few bits and bobs. Its thick fog here so little point in before pictures. So here are some I took anyway before it went into the workshop, the paint looks fine in the wet so just shots from a distance

I did I tell you that I missed out an a J plate diesel one 8 years ago? Me and my mate were sniffing at the car auctions and I had just missed a ranger rover classic diesel, I think it might have been a 200, Looked a little shabby but I think it might have been a police one at some point due to the colour. It had gone for £180, I was kicking my self at the time. If we had gone two days before Id have snapped that up and chucked the metro in for that. I told my dad about it and he said that's a right old shame that! we could have built that up together! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

No you didn't mention it Procta. You wouldn't get a far gone project for that kind of money now! In fact I don't think you'd get the bonnet off one for that much
Staying the same colour after much thought and discussion with friends and family. I think it might loose some of its sentimental value if I change the colour.

yeah that's true! same goes for the metros now, you wouldn't even get a look in at all for 180 quid! I think it was an ex police one, My dad said it might have had a diesel conversion done to it, Laugh was it had tax on it too 6months! Made a start yesterday, stripped the skin off the bonnet so the frame and skin can be painted separately so it won't rust. Luckily waxoyl has kept it in good enough condition to save |

I can see it been a bit more of a faff if he changed the colour, but he has messaged me on saying its getting white lettering
