one thing I recon would set that off is a steering damper guard

Yeah I've been looking for a genuine one for a while. They seem to come up cheaper at LR shows but are otherwise very expensive. I don't really want one with holes in it so am going to hold out for a genuine one

I am toying with the idea of one for mine, but then again I may just go for the bar thing. My dad kept bleating about putting recovery shackles on front of mine, I said the last thing I want is to give people a free card in towing the thing away. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Yeah absolutely, don't want to make it easy for them! I would have said a full guard would be better than a bar

I have a new favourite product. A couple of nights ago I spent £20 on some Alcantara from eBay.

So there has now been an Alcantara explosion inside my defender. This is what I managed after work this evening...

Wow Grafty... what a brilliant build. Your 90 looks incredible and all your small improvements have turned it into a beautiful looking machine.

I would be interested in a set of your lower heater director flappy rotational thingy majigs. How would I go about buying a set from you?
