Laughing thats why ive put off respraying mine! Paint would just get ruined. That said after a real proper clean and polish it does come up well!

It's been a bit of a slow weekend so I've been playing around trying out different mounting locations for the clock in my defender. Since fitting the rev counter it's been displaced and I miss it. After trying different ideas I settled on a location between the sunvisors. Just waiting for the 3D printer to finish but this is roughly what it will look like - Install pictures to follow Thumbs Up

It's a kit available from IRB Developments, it's an adapter that replaces the factory elbow out of the Airbox, a 4 inch pipe then an adapter on the wing - you also remove the water separator in the Airbox.

Here are some pictures Thumbs Up

Isn’t bad for a design I came up with on my lunch break from work (although Ian has changed a couple of bits), Nice to see Ian had some made over a year after I gave him the models

Grafty, how have you doubted the pipe under the engine cover? Mine goes over the top of the cover and never been too happy with it

It is a super mod for a TD5. I got impatient for Ian to get the kit together so made my own. The increase in diameter makes a huge difference when a RAI is added on to the intake length. Miffy breathes beautifully. If you get rid of the air boxes impeller then I highly recommend not fitting a forward facing scoop, but something like the Mantec mushroom style tops or Donaldson style bowl tops. With the scoop in heavy rain your air filter can get a little damp...

It does fit underneath, it's tricky to route it but it will go, you have to push the coolant pipe junction to the header tank down but with some persuasion it all fits. It's then cable tied up out of the way of the steering column. I don't think it would work with the double servo on ABS equipped defenders though? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
