England 2004 Defender 90 Td5 HT Rutland Red
Went into Urban Truck yesterday and they gave me the Optimill as an apology for having to have some warranty work

I must say its very nice, but I'm not sure on £65 for it, if the OEM is £25 which it is, then £40 difference is a bit of a no brainer for the extra

As for Twisted at £400 and Overfinch at £900 - roll on

PS For sale - one used diesel fuel cap with two keys £10 to charity

Read this thread. Didn't know I needed a new petrol cap until I did. Bought the Optimil in silver. Looks great, can recommend it against Atlantis blue paint.

I really like the look of the Optimil cap.
I very much have a black theme going on my 90 Landmark but I am concerned the black would easily be marked when set down ?
Does anybody have one and would like to comment?
The silver option would be unpainted I assume and be more robust and not show the scratches so much.

^^ No worries, there always is a solution for avoiding scratches to or by the fuel caps. Like below. Thumbs Up

There's no way I want a diesel impregnated cap dangling against Gracie's paintwork!

Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I did see that suggestion but it would not go down well.
Just thinking I have 2 cars a BMW 1M owned for 2 years and the 90 landmark and my wife has not been in either of them yet!!

HI,

Just thought to share my budget Aluminium fuel cap option.

Bought this Aluminium cap cover from ebay. (perfect fit but NOT in Silver)

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Aluminum-Diese...2749.l2649

I painted it with VHT high temp "Cast Aluminium" colour. Very happy with the outcome.

If it’s already aluminium why not just sand the paint off and lacquer? Ray
