What about the Croytec one?
It's available in aluminium and black, comes with a strap like the original and looks like the one from the autobiography...
You can find pics if you search on the Croytec Facebook page. I have it and it looks and feels great.
Regards
Tom

So this

Croytec with tether 110

Croytec with tether style 2 110

Optimil no tether 65

Now I'm looking at the three, I do like option 1 from croytec...

What do people think, would Alloy suit an all black car.... I just thought it would look more obvious.. I always liked my mums cooper in black with a chrome filler... Smile

Thanks for posting the Croytec filler caps. Thumbs Up I didnt know they made them. They are very slow to update their website.

Those, and the excellent value Optimill one really puts the original LR pricing into perspective, not to mention the twice as expensive Overfinch one!

An alloy cap will look great on a Santorini Defender. But, youll probably end up buying the door handles, too! 1998 Tdi 90 SW,

I viewed the Croytec cap and the Optimill one and really felt the Optimill was a superior product at practically half the price.

I know we all have our choices, but 65 - 900 for a diesel cap
I can get a set of Bowlers for that

I like the optimil the best even though the cheapest as I like the look more than the other that combined with the great price a optimil quality it's a winner for me.

Also agree with Steve would not want it hanging down the side of the car to damage paint so not bothered by a tether.

Also silver would look great on santorini Thumbs Up

I was thinking of selling the Sawtooths on mine and getting a set of Bowlers

Bowlers being the 16" wheel that Bowler sell
Set of four is 800 plus VAT or one Overfinch petrol cap

^ Thanks Smile

800 for 4 bowler wheels sounds cheap,

800 for a petrol cap it plain crazy...

I'm going to ring optimil today after a FaceBook message and see if they will do me a deal Smile

OK so after reading the reviews and considering the quality of the Optimill bits I already have, I went this route...

Seems the best value / looking / quality

so now will have to wait for Mr / Mrs Post Person Smile

Good choice! Great looking. Thumbs Up Personally I think the tether on the original style cap is a good idea, but do. like the design of the Optimill one you have chosen, best of all. For an inventive mind, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to come up with an attractive solution. 1998 Tdi 90 SW,
