Its so expensive, I paid 65 quid for rust proofing my 110 from our sole LR dealer, those guys spent one full day spraying my 110 and what a fantastic job they did. They covered the 110 body, alloys, mudguards and all the bolts under the car so they would remain silver Only thing they didn't spray was the front and rear diffs. I was well happy and its covered under a 5 year warranty. Money well spent. '08 LR Defender 110

That is appalling as well, this guy needs sorting out. I wouldn't pay to have my car vandalised. You can see pictures of parts of the chassis he's missed altogether whilst blanket coating everything else, inside of the wheels, body work etc whilst breaking off the owners wing mirror and flattening his battery. Don't they say not to polish new paint work for 6 months, wiping it with white spirits has not got to be good. I'd be blimmen furious - thanks for the heads up to others and thankfully this thread brought up the updated info from 18stone.

Need a garage, hot jet wash facilities, drier, rust treating kit for older cars then waxoyl or dinitrol kit for rust prevention mmmm

Wonder how much they charge & initially wondering how they do it in a day must be a squeeze washing all the road filth off first and worse, then drying it in time to treat it - further research

Nene Overland leave it to dry overnight according to the LROI magazine artical with the a blower heater on!

Did mine back in 09. Some photos here. I was in a hurry but should say if you are going to do it drive the vehicle onto some sheets of polythene to catch the drip and I put a large dust sheet over the vehicle to cut down on overspray.

I’m going to treat myself to a new more expensive gun soon as the 90 needs doing.
