Rustmaster
Just had the 110 treated by Michael at Rustmaster.
I am very pleased with the job he has done and as I intend to
keep the 110 long term I think it is a small price to pay for the
knowledge to know that the rust will be kept at bay.
If anyone has thought about getting theirs treated and kept
putting it off (Like Me) then stop thinking about it and get it DONE !!!

Mick Clark.

Pleased for you Mick, they do indeed provide excellent service! I went to them last year! Maybe your recommendation would have been better placed with some of the other recommendations in of the other 30 threads revealed under a Rustmaster post search! Thumbs Up

Good to hear...........mine was done 2 yrs ago by a local garage, not a bad job for £150 but the cavaties in the bulkhead, doors and chassis werent done and wont last as long as a pro job. thinking of taking it to rustmaster. Did they do all the hollow sections? Life is not a rehearsal!

Did Rustmaster clean and dry it first? Steve.

All information detailing what they do and how they do it can be found on their website and/or the numerous threads on here! I even took photographs and posted them detailing the process myself, they too can be found on here! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Subtitle: RustMaster overspray.

Following an EIGHT hour job on my new 110 (St Albans in the drizzle is only SO interesting) I was collected from town by the affable Michael and I took away my vehicle in the dark. On Sunday morning the extent of the problem was apparent.

Marmite-like overspray over the WHOLE vehicle, seen in thicker 'gatherings' in these photos. The side step chequer plate was orange. The windscreen had a black film on it, the bumbers textured.

One side step...

The bonnet slam panel...

It took me 3 hours and lots of carefully administered white spirit with rags and a large, kitchen-use electric toothbruch-type impliment to restore the whole of the bodywork back to silver from black/orange. The black freckling was on EVERY panel.

Also, on the journey home, the wind noise from the near-side windscreen/A pillar was noticeable. On Sunday it became obvious why. The black plastic plug that covers the left hand drive wiper hole had not been replaced and the wind rushing in on the journey home was blowing straight into the newly protected bulkhead!!

The wheels had an orange tint such was the extent of the splattering.

I'm sure there'll be fun and games trying to source a replacement wiper plug. Such a small part; I hope it is identifiable on the stealers parts list.....

Michael is off to Australia today for a wedding so I've not discussed it with him yet.

Ade I wrote this at the begining of the month on another thread.

Quote:
Rustmaster (several positive with a few negatives regarding overspray) £517 (including 12% Defender2 discount)

I have a very old friend (ex army) who has just retired from the police and he bought himself a 110. I told him under sealing it was well worth the effort and cost. He asked me who I would recommend to do it as he did not fancy do it even as I would help as I have the kit. Anyway because so many of you had done it on here I gave the contact details of this company. The day after he rang me to say he had done a really good job BUT the overspray was horrendous, in the end it took him three full days before he got it all off. Teh alloy wheels were covered in it which I found strnge as when ever I do mine I always remove all the wheels first, the roof was covered too. He was not happy at all and he did complain. The guy was very apologetic and said it must have been the young lad who works for him and that he had done another land rover next to his without moving his first. He said he was out picking up supplies when this happened. This was two weeks ago.
