Yes! Talk to a local engineer / fabricator about aluminium welding and they should be able to sort it no problem. Thumbs Up

Yes it could, but it won't be worth it. It's tired. I'd say buy new.

It should only cost £20 - £30 to get it welded once removed from the vehicle.

As the boost comes and goes these see stress and strain that will find any weakness - such as a poor weld. If this is all it is then a decent weld should solve it long term. Yes, it has fatigued, but the image isn't clear enough to determine the quality of the original weld. For the sake of £20 or £30 I'd get it repaired first berfore spending big bucks.

Remember to flush it out well after repair - just in case Thumbs Up

depends on the map i guess, ive got the alive ultimate intercooler if your looking for one that wont cause any more issues... welcome to come have a look,

re the map, you could get them to adjust it for not having a big intercooler till you can acquire one?

I think the cost difference between new and a repair needs to be considered against the hassle of fitting.

I'd be well miffed if the cooler failed again after just a few months of refitting.

good luck which ever way you decide to go.
Thumbs Up
