Costa coffee shop bars at Shell service stations!!

All I need to do on the way to work is get some fuel, I don't want to stand in a 10 deep qeue waiting for people who have brought 5 coffees, 2 bacon baps, mineral water, and chewing gum for their day ahead!
Made worse by one incompetent person behind the counter!!

Why do we need these retail outlets in fuel stations??
Get a drink before you leave home!!
Same as Supermarkets using fuel stations as convenient stores.
90 % of people are not buy fuel, only doing their weekly shop!

All I want is a tank of fuel, and not be late for work!!!? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Most Humans. We see the lowest common denominator of human, the ski tourist, here in the Alps and Hell's teeth, what's their purpose? Humans that is?

Driving, walking, walking with skis, ordering food, asking directions, managing snow and ice, parking etc etc. All logic and ability as members of the human race escapes them. I can only assume the vast majority of human beings are actually the same and put on a good front most of the year.

Defender drivers are excluded from this assumption, as are motorcyclists. But general 'people'? Jesus Wept Big Cry Monsieur Le Grenadier

Breaking and enetring into your own house around midnight after going out for a meal and drinks with the wife, son and daughter because said wife forgot her house keys ...it's been a given for the past 25 years that she always takes her house keys! I couldn't even use the emergency key hidden away as she had bolted that particular door on the inside.

Banging Head Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

Nope, not here. Obviously being the Alps we're not averse to some cured Pig, but normally in the form of sausage and accompanied by huge quantities of melted cheese. Shocked Monsieur Le Grenadier

You went out for dinner and you didn't wear black? Hell's teeth. Either you're standards are slipping or you live in a tropical clime and were wearing a tropical dinner jacket (which I believe our American cousins call a 'Tux')? But if the former, that's very disappointing. Next you'll be telling me you no longer wear a lounge suit when sitting down for supper? Big Cry Monsieur Le Grenadier

^^^ I confess to lowering the usual standards on this occasion but the meal was to mark my son's 18th birthday so had to get with it ...just this once mind! Steve.

Having moved in very late December and set up my account online with Npower for my electricity I am yet to be billed for it.

Suspecting something was wrong I get in contact to ask whats up...

Sorry sir there was a problem with your account- as such you have no account number, so no account, so you don't exist. Please get in touch with our dedicated team to sort out the issue.

How did they get an online automated form wrong!

I didn't really want to be with them in the first place but our Landlady wont let us change for some reason.

So when i get home at 7:15 I have 45mins to try and sort it out over the phone instead of a nice relaxing evening - joy! Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

What's a bit worrying is they have a dedicated department for people with no accounts who don't exist. How many are out there?

I'd call in Mulder and Scully, now they're back on the job.... Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier
