I'm grumpy at the moment, very grumpy!
Some light-fingered so-and-so helped themselves to my Defendoor in the night. I know they're not expensive things, but the principle matters. I'd happily smash the thief's hand with a hammer at the moment. |

The hammer introduced a note of happiness, so not as grumpy as you could be. Bah!
(I bought 3 of those just in case. None stolen yet. Bah, I wasted my money) |

To be clear I'm not anti cyclist in any way - I used to be and occasionally still am one but...
Today travelling down the A7 with SWMBO and daughters ponies in the horse trailer I came upon a group of roadies as the road became twisty with double white lines. They were riding side side by side (6 in total - 3 x 2) with the inner ones on the line polished by vehicle NS tyres while the outer ones were on the line polished by vehicles OS tyres. Two at the back had conscences and pulled across single file and well into the side - shortly afterwards the next two did a similar thing (by now we've travelled approx 1/4 mile at under 20mph). The front two however were having none of it and were such important people that they could impede other road users without concern because they were CYCLISTS. I followed them until a safe place (1/2 mile further on) then overtook but with the horses on board this wasn't a particularly quick operation but by this time I had 3 cars tucked right up behind the trailer. As I overtook they all pulled straight back out and balked those following me making them swerve out far wider than anticipated ![]() Now, I don't think this is a cyclists thing at all - I think it is an ignorant person thing. It is just unfortunate that with cycling now being cool so many f*****g stupid morons have taken to the sport and spoil the reputation of so many decent folk ![]() Rant over but why can't we get permission to just run w*****s like this over? The road is wide enough for us all to share and enjoy - just not when some believe they are more important than the rest of us ![]() |

Any eBay link or similar for that Rog?
Looks like a good solution! How did you affix to the Defendoor? Small hole or two? ![]() |

Always on a Bloody Sunday as well, they roam around in packs of 6 plus round are way, with no thought for other road users. Jumping traffic lights, riding on your OS in queuing traffic, then try and get to the NS when it frees up, I trust accelarate hard passed them, hopefully giving them a face full of carbon monoxide. Then when you pop into the local coffee shop there bikes are abandoned all across the front of the shop and they are the noisiest in there. But one consolation is they look like tw*ts in their lycra Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |

Google "adhesive camera tether" - you'll find many, many similar things. (Hint - a Google image search using the original image suggested this was the way to go). If you bought two if them you could use the two adhesive pads united on a single cord. I'm now going back to being grumpy, because my Defendoor was stolen. ![]() |

Fleapit Link... ![]() No need for drilling Steve - sticky pad goes on Defendoor and cord loops around Fuel Cap tether... ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge Or, if you do not have a tether as @blackwolf has suggested, just get a second sticky pad, there are sellers who sell multi packs cheap anyway... ![]() Being 3M they stick pretty darn well too... ![]() ![]() The GREEN One... Because I farm I am, to an extent, able to determine what I do and where I do it each day. Yesterday I was asked if I could finish work at half 12 in order to chauffeur the wife across town so she could cover illness at a satellite practice. Ok she can't drive even though good money has been spent teaching her, but even so, walk or get a bus or taxi don't expect me to drop what I'm doing at WORK to come and make your life easier. Who the hell in their right mind would even ask such a thing? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
