I wouldn't be gluing in anything until you are at least sure you have no initial built water ingress issues.
Even after that my preference would be to loose fit rubber mats that can be lifted out regularly when you want to do a deep clean or look for any water ingress issues. If you do get water underneath any of these permanent or semi permanent solutions it will accelerate any corrosion issues exponentially. There's some photos on another thread showing the horrors after peeling back someone else's handiwork. JBK, Chris@CSK did my dynamat, he then covered the side with board and carpet, he did a top job would recommend any time, 1st class job. I would take some piccys but working away at mo so not close to my 90. you will not be disappointed.
