I have just looked up the vacuum pump, and yes that looks like the source.
With the oil leak, where would the leak be from? Is it the gasket, or from the bearing. Thanks guys, really appreciate the quick replies |

They cost about £100 and are simple to fit. latest pn was LR012183 when we did ours a couple of years back

I am guessing that your link www was reference to the lack of workshop manuals!!! I will pick one up tm and I think I will do a full service while I am getting dirty anyway! With the fact that this pump sprayed out oil under high pressure, is there anything else that I should be looking at while replacing the pump? Does the vacuum pump have its own engine oil supply? I don't quite understand how it works, or even why the engine oil is there under such high pressure. Many thanks |
