How to remove sheared off rear tub bolt

One of my rear tub to crossmember bolts has been sheared off by someone. I think it had a rear ladder and the removal of it was the cause.

The head has sheared off under the surface and the thread is held in the captive nut behind. (I presume it's a captive nut behind otherwise it would just pull out)

How on earth do I get that out?

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Corris Grey

Apply penetrating oil and leave for a while then centre punch the bolt, drill a pilot hole and enlarge to fit the bolt extractor [easy out] of your choice. The heat from drilling will occasonally be enough to free up a siezed bolt. Steve.

Just yesterday I replaced all door and body bolts on a 2010 90 . 6 of the 10 rear tub bolts were corroded solid and heads sheared off .
As above , I bought new drill bit and drilled the bolts right through , replacing with stainless and rear nut.
A pain in the hass but welcome to landrovering.

Also - a left handed/ reverse drill bit is a usefull tool, the heat and vibtpration often loosens the bolt, and if that doesn't work at least you have a hole to use a easy out extractor
