Running the wiring to and from the dash to various items ie sub, amp, aux lights, heater, rear camera etc etc. I want everything nice and neat and don't want cables running under the carpets. The only way forward is out through the bulkhead and on to the various components.

I have removed the passenger speaker and managed to drill two 35mm Ø holes through the bulkhead. This was carried using a drill with a home made extension bar 300mm long in the chuck with a cone bit in the end of the bar.

Here is a pic from the inside, you will see that I have already placed the first set of cables in the conduit.

Just a pointer....

If you are making extra holes in your vehicle to run cables through these are in my opinion the best Marine Grade cable glands you can use. Any good chandlery should be able to source them for you. Especially ideal if the cable exit/entry is visible too. Not cheap but what value do you place on quality?

I tend to use industrial ones that are used in 300 Bar washes - they seem to do the trick Whistle My Disco 'best bits'

Normal cheap skintop plastic ones also do the job too but are not low profile. Depends on the application and what 'type' of finish you want to achieve I suppose. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
