Water Ingress through roof

Hi Guys,

I am sure there a lot of water ingress topics on here, but non that i can find about the top A-pillar corner to roof!

I have water coming in from above the A-Pillar but i cant work out exactly were from. I have pulled all the old Dum Dumb tape and re sealed it with silicon, but its still pouring in. Can anyone suggest anything or give advise?

I just resealed mine up as it was coming in at the top of the a post. If you look at the roof line at the front and follow it down to the gutter I found a hole where the two meet that let a lot of water in.

Thanks for the help here guys, I have bought some Capt Tolley's Creaking crack cure and hope that it finds and seals the water issue. I will update all when finished as to the results.

I also had water ingress at the corner of the roof and A pillar. Took me couple of years to find it! There was a tiny pinhole in roof corner at the rear end. The water in the outer gutter entered there and travelled along the inner gutter forward to the A pillar. First time braking or cornering after a rain shower the water would land on your knee!

Capt Tolleys Creeping crack cure is good. I used to seal the alpine windows and side windows on my 90. Its still good after a year. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

I have the downloadable pdf manual, but I feel that I have to look further than what the manual gives me. So, I am banking on the Captain Tolley methode. Thanks for your post anyway

the Captain Tolley is very good, but i now see that the water is coming in from further down the car, perhaps the top window in the middle. I might have to pull it out to check. I cant see any other holes anywhere in the back.

The window in the middle, you referring to the alpine windows? Capt Tolley will sort them out, just make sure it's been dry or a few days and there is no water in the gap. If there is if has the effect of watering down the sealant as it is water based.
