Canīt remember very well, but wasnīt hard to get it out. Now, for the whole thing is just like the old ones. Heavy as hell and a bit PITA to disconnect the hyd line running beside the Gbox close to the entry of the bellhousing (on a LHD). It is kind of tricky to remove the exhaust with the cat as it does not fit between the engine and chassis. You need to turn it and move up and down untill you find a unique position to take it down. This last part can be frustrating and worth lots of swearing against LR

Harry if you can get a jack under the engine and apply pressure with the jack this will give you the extra 5mm you need to get the catalytic convertor out a lot easier.
With the Griffin you've got I'm surprised the cat's still there? Maybe time to bin the cat anyway perhaps? Good luck. ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

There is a (LR) special tool for it. Otherwise you need to use the old "bread or grease" method (google it). Puma 110" SW
