Well, call me stupid, call me a d---head call me everything.......don't worry I have. I reckon its worse when you stuff something up yourself than if someone else does it, I'm flailing myself now, oooooh hang on.....
You know how I said I checked every bloody fuse, fusible link, relays the lot I was stumped. So I packed the whole lot up, tools away, dash back together thinking it would be a trip to the dealer 3 hours away, totally p---ed off. Went for a 10km run to cool off, came home thought to myself, get a ground and check all of the fuse holders to make sure they are getting power. Started under the drivers seat, and checked the fuses and links once again, all good. Move on to the secondary fuses, get to fuse FL29 (Diagnostic socket, clock, entertainment system) pull the 10 amp fuse, hold it in front of the work light and what do ya know the f----n thing is blown ![]() ![]() ![]() Well replace it with a spare and all is well, everything is working. How the bloody hell can that fuse affect the EGR, Anti Stall, Trip meter. Well Im a happy camper now I'll be able to go back and put the head unit in tomorrow. I'm going to get dinner and a cider now ![]() Mick |

I think you'll find that this fuse also powers most if not all of the Ipac (instrument panel ECU).

Aha........
I tried to figure the electrical diagram from the manuals downloaded from DG ![]() I shall no in future though. I'm going to buy extra spare fuses and also long nose pliers to leave in the car, that white plastic tool to remove the blade fuses is hopeless. Long nose worked well though ![]() Mick Last edited by Cracka on 4th Apr 2013 11:45am. Edited 1 time in total |

![]() How much would the dealer have charged you to sort that out? Well worth the 10km run! Reminds me of the time when a side door on the 110 station wagon would not open from the inside. I had the tool box out ready to try and sort it out, when my daughter, who has Down Syndrome, pointed out to me that the child lock catch had inadvertedly been engaged. Often thought of getting her a job at a maindealers. ![]() 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai Last edited by spudfan on 4th Apr 2013 11:46am. ![]() Spud, that's priceless mate, my wife and I just had a laugh about you and the lock. Your daughter is a gem, luckily she was on the ball. That kiddie lock is a pain, I flicked mine on, on the rear door in the 90 and hopped in the back and closed it, just to see if it worked, duh, as you do ![]() |
