Well i favour Terrafirma's Smile

Gas, not overly expensive... and 'stock' shock already has 1.5 inch more travel than a standard shock.

Plenty of places do them ... got mine from porny on here [IRB Developments] Cool Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Iron Man. Excellent and great value. The "B" springs work best with the foam cell shocks.

the current suspension is as original. there is plenty of rammel floating about in the back, 70% on road, with a humungusly rough track 1 mile long, which i travel twice a day 6 days a week (too and from work) Harry

Personally terrafirma is Censored . Did not even keep it on mine for a year, and even then it failed twice. Cheap crap.

like darren said - koni. Not cheap but last long (100K miles without fault on my 300tdi) and more comfortable than my 110 puma in standard form
