Hi Mermoto - think it looks good personally and will be putting mine on. Do you think it needs a gasket as per the entreq ones? Apparently one moves it a bit further off the wing..?

It doesn't need a gasket because I found you can mount it straight on top of the existing plastic vent and it sits perfect Very Happy Probably stops small children and rodents getting sucked in Whistle

From Kevin Baldwin of MUD-UK Ltd - the cowl is designed to fit over the top of the existing grille. This is how Land Rover fits their own version to MoD vehicles.

I also installed my entreq directly "over" the original grill

My MOD spec one, in black, mine now thanks to Ken of this parish. I initially took the plastic grille off, but found it was a bit too close for comfort to the wing, so have refitted the grille so now its stands off, and I don't have two screws floating around in the cab.

I think its looks nice, kind of industrial looking.

For me if nothing else they add a bit more interest to the appearance of the vehicle Very Happy but not having water, dirt and debris pouring into your gubbins has to be a bonus Thumbs Up After only 96 miles mine had all sorts of crap in it ready to block the outlets Rolling Eyes not the best of original designs...and of course it does stop the vent being blocked by snow Whistle when I used to wipe snow off my TD5 vent the snow still blocked up the grill Rolling Eyes so yeah it's a good idea...
