Small companies can go to the wall and no one gives two hoots. Large companies just breathe a few words about shutting things down and the tax payer muscles in with big bungs of cash to invest.

I really can’t comment on Tata as I have no idea where JLR pays its taxes to, but many of these large companies pay very little towards our economy.

Bit like Mr Branson asking for large amounts of money from our Government during Covid when his Virgin group has been squirreled away off shore so they pay next to nothing back into the economy.

Tata seem good at getting bungs. They have been given a shed load to rebuild the steelworks at Port Talbot and I am sure their battery manufacturing plant will have come with loads of incentives.

I really feel for people in the supply chain who are being impacted but I fear they will not ever see any help from this loan. These big companies are the ones that screw these suppliers down to impossibly tight margins so why do we think there will be any concern now?

you are right 'Rasher' I did say that in one of my posts above.

Any company would look for free or low cost loans to prop up their balance sheet and serve their share holders. Capitalism for the Profits and Socialism for the Losses.

Maybe public opinion could sway them otherwise, but even that will be calculated ethics

Subscription Updates.

For anyone in the same boat, the Connected Navigation Pro (£90) cannot be renewed at present as this was also affected by the cyber attack. Basically the system does not allow payment and so LR are allowing it to continue for free..................or until they can take payment again.

The 'Chat' option on their website does not work (no loss) but the telephone team member was very helpful.

I was beaten to it. I don't think he made this up for views, he seems to honest with his videos and he does seem to have contacts on the darker side of life.

Interesting for the hacker group to retire after this job. Plus if as they say in the vid, that JLR were told that theyd been hacked in that zoom meeting then they sort of deserve all they're getting.
But why aren't TATA stumping up bailout money? Why is it the tax payer fronting it again? 110 D250 SE HT
