I’m in Essex so quite a way from you.

A new Nanocom with Puma software , if bought via the group buy on here that gives a 20% discount is circa £360. Not cheap but if you are planning to do work on your vehicle, ie change injectors, power bleed ABS , etc and want to be able to read and Clear Defender specific codes or monitor live data etc while driving then it’s a good tool.

It’s also not locked to a specific VIN so can be used on any Puma defender.

Thanks for your advice and help to date. Yes you are a good distance!

The Nanocom appears to program the Lucas10 (older fob) and ALM (presumably late 2014 and 2015 with chrome strip) fobs. How easy is it?

I have a td5 and 2 Pumas and all I am thinking is at some point another fob is likely to fail …

This is so amazingly simple albeit you have given the navigation. Are you a technician?

I am so nearly tempted to go out and buy the Nanacom, just need to do some research …

Thank you

Support for the 2.4 is good , for the 2.2 it initially had issues , I.e injector coding, however over the last 18 months it’s improved and things like injector coding, oil service light reset have become available via software updates.

It also supports the TD5 ( inc fob programming) but you need to purchase a separate license for the Nanocom to support Puma and TD5 vehicle’s.
