Ah. Ok. Thanks for verifying.
I know the Capris were fine in a straight line but kind of challenging when put into a corner at speed and disasterous on a wet road.

When I started work in 1987, a few of those guys a bit older than me aged in their early 20’s would have Capri Laser’s.
Other popular Ford’s were Mk4 & 5 Cortina’s. They all rusted. I don’t think that was an exclusive issue with Ford. Vauxhall’s were just as competitive at corroding.
Those who didn’t mind a bank loan drove XR3’s or XR3i’s

By 1990, everyone appeared to be driving Sierra’s.

How about a once a very common cheap French hot hatch from the late 90s to the mid 200s grab ya's? i was beside a phase 2 Saxo on a 52 plate Thumbs Up laugh was i remember seeing a stack load in the local breakers and not one having the original rear lights Laughing Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
