"A new logo and pattern have been developed for the storied luxury SUV brand, but we're not so sure it was worth the effort."

Well I guess that the logo will look the same if you end up put the car on its roof on a tight bend

It's all about the brand!
Rolex have updated their trademark green watch boxes which look almost identical to the old ones Companies that are considered best in class spend a lot of effort in maintaining the illusion |

Imagine all that money spent instead in real R&D, and product improvement! What would that be .... ![]() Creating 'faux brands' has not been very much of a successful endeavor for most manufacturers, at least that I remember. None of them has made who knows what. Yeah, you might argue "Mini" and "Vespa" are top sellers, but the models produced throughout the years would have sold even if they had retained their 'original' brands - in the Mini case it would have been a bit more difficult to digest, but doable. Maybach, DS, RAM ... I think is just a lot of money spend on marketing "bling" instead of real product offering, pity. |
