Thanks so much for that link. Helpful. I just can't undo the bolts on the metal air intake hose...Maybe time for new spanners

I have 2015 2.2 UXS on 55k, Ive had it just over a year and love it. Ive never found it lacking in power but I do get the kangaroo effect when cold if I dont add the Millers fuel additive.
The garage that maintains it tell me they think its remapped already as the owner has a 2016 2.2 UXS and he said mine drives similar to his and he has a stage 1 remap already. MPG wise I get on average around 25. Best I have had is 28 worst it 22. For the record I dont drive it hard and usually sit at 65- 70mph when on the motorway. Based on the above I am wondering if the remap on it is not a good one and so am considering getting someone like BAS to put their stage 1 map on it. I just wondered what others would think based on the above? 2015 Puma 2.2 110 XS Utility Station Wagon - 2024 - Present 2004 TD5 90 XS Station Wagon - 2019-2024 2003 TD5 90 G4 LE - 2009-2010 1990 Ninety 6.2 V8 Station Wagon - 2006-2009 |

Before doing a map change the air intake from the wing to the air-box for a large bore pipe. The standard air intake pipework is highly restrictive and convoluted. Also look at the airbox mod to improve airflow more.
Once done you may find your vehicle is performing the way you want without a map. |

What would you recommend? Is there something on the market that works well? |

Hi Bob,
Ian’s reccomendation is also something I’m looking at. I believe the only options on the market atm is the Nakatanenga optimised air intake, or their raised air intake. Or one from Allisport but that’s quite expensive comparatively. Nugget Stuff used to offer one but I believe he has now retired. If you want to keep the factory air filter, best to stick with the Nakatanenga option I think? Quite a few positive reviews/accounts on here. https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/naka...ender-td4/ https://www.lrparts.net/as293-cylinder-air...sport.html |

Yeah. I've seen the Nakatanenga one. I have a LHD. So my air intake is lower right side and then the fans heater box etc is the one on top of wing on the right. Was thinking about adding a raised air intake later. I prefer the aesthetics of it it coming from the lower right rather than on top of the wing. Wonder if the Naka can come from original air intake instead? By the way Pete from BAS did not recommend an raised intake as it does restrict flow to much.
