I chickened out and left it on 150… I didn’t upgrade the intercooler or anything so was worried about over-stressing something, especially when towing the odd heavy thing

I went with BAS 170. Also had the immobilizer deactivated (a lot of interference non-starting experienced so to improve reliability, had that removed. Defender thefts are not an occurrence here), then EGR delete to save my newly rebuilt engine, and speed adjustment. Thumbs Up No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy

I have 2015 2.2 UXS on 55k, Ive had it just over a year and love it. Ive never found it lacking in power but I do get the kangaroo effect when cold if I dont add the Millers fuel additive.
The garage that maintains it tell me they think its remapped already as the owner has a 2016 2.2 UXS and he said mine drives similar to his and he has a stage 1 remap already.
MPG wise I get on average around 25. Best I have had is 28 worst it 22. For the record I dont drive it hard and usually sit at 65- 70mph when on the motorway.
Based on the above I am wondering if the remap on it is not a good one and so am considering getting someone like BAS to put their stage 1 map on it. I just wondered what others would think based on the above? 2015 Puma 2.2 110 XS Utility Station Wagon - 2024 - Present

Before doing a map change the air intake from the wing to the air-box for a large bore pipe. The standard air intake pipework is highly restrictive and convoluted. Also look at the airbox mod to improve airflow more.

Once done you may find your vehicle is performing the way you want without a map.

What would you recommend? Is there something on the market that works well?
