Just like mine.
Usually the gear lever knob is the one that cracks first. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Mine looks exactly the same. I tried to hide the cracks with boot polish but it didn't work. 1953 80"

Is this caused by sun exposure? Mine is garaged when not being driven and all the plastic is fine.

Mine is in a garage all the time as well - I drive it maybe once or twice a month, the rest of the time, it's kept inside. “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Probably cheaper to replace the part (part# FDS500040PUYB) though!

It's just cosmetic... so I'll just leave it, I guess. “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

To me they are stress marks rather than UV degradation. Have you checked the bolts if they are perhaps over tightened? 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I'll check, but they have never been undone, so this is from factory. “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Upon further inspection I doubt this could be caused by the bolts, there is a metal spacer inside so the plastic is not under stress. “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Fixed!
Looks like I managed to make it disappear, or close enough...

I applied some black bumper restorer on the cracks, to hide them.

Thanks - something else for me to worry about. Along with the white gunk taking over the rear loadspace, the rust on the bonnet and the rust where the corner cappings were redone 2 years ago.
