I haven't got the resistor. There is no bulb warning system for the side/tail/braking lights on the Defender to my knowledge so no need for the resistor.
They are brights. There are other bulbs on ebay with upto 25 LED's per cluster. |

I put led clusters in them that I got off eBay. Youre right, if you put those conventional bulbs you can get which have been painted red, they make the light look a bit pink. I didn't like them either so went for led's. Pete |

Where's the best place to get the clear lenses from? Do you have to buy replacement units, or can you just change the lens? I read somewhere that the lenses on later vehicles are sealed to the lamp holder, so you have to change the whole unit. I ordered clear / smoked side repeater lenses yesterday, but found loads of different suppliers of front / rear clear units with quite a large variety of prices. Foundry 4x4 seemed to be one of the cheapest. Any advice appreciated. Cheers.

Just buy the lenses you don't need the units...i got mine from bolt on bits as a package but the units they supply are not the best, ended up using my old units NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

If youve got a Puma the lens cannot be separated from the back plate piece. Only the bulb holder can be removed. I got a pair of Wipac rear lamps from www.offroadrovers.co.uk for about £10 plus postage. They have a shop on eBay too.

No worries - thanks for the advice. I'll have a look at the offroad rovers site - probably get them from there. Cheers.
