Very high quality. Removeable center/deck section.

Modular components one buys and assembles

And this one allows 5 seats, completely removeable. I saw and had idea that I could build, but it is actuall very high quality, and if I attempted it would look like an amateur "wood butcher" had attacked my truck.

Terryt - You have given me a great idea with what to do with my spare dog guard.

I don't suppose you could give me some guidance on the shape of the brackets for your shelf? Maybe a close up photo?

Ok as promised ..wanted to make it easy for myself dog guard was left standard .
Bracket made from a bit of steel with some trial and error it was bent to shape over the internal lip and outer cover these then take the original fitting with a lock nut .
The rear section was a bit of U channel from homebase this is what the dog guard sits in and it's a good tight fit the U channel is secured via little u bolts from home base used to secure wire in fencing .hold loads ,no issue with noise or rattle (which was a surprise) and if needed can be removed in about ten mins ..
Hope this helps

Really like that roof shelf you've got Sandy. Is that homemade? I'm guessing the bits of angle underneath allow you to slide storage boxes onto them? Tom

Thank you, It was bought from McS on the forum, http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic25858.html the angle underneath is to fit a table, it works very nicely.

I've added some extra mesh to stop anything moving forward under breaking, had the shelf shot blasted then prepped it and gave it two coats of black vinyl.

It's given me an idea to run maybe two lots of angle under a similar roof shelf and then slide storage boxes onto the angle. This would be better for my current situation as our two dogs come everywhere with us, so the only useable storage I have at the moment is a barebox style box I made for on top of the wheel arch and bungee nets on the mud side panels.
I'd need to find some boxes with a lid lip capable of taking the weight of the contents inside it or maybe bolt something onto wolf boxes to allow them to be hung from near the top. Food for thought anyway. Thanks. Tom
