Alaska White 90 HT
Hi all,
Collect my 90 next week after not having one for several years. Would like to thank everyone that gave advice about these newfangled Ford engines in the Puma forum.

Here she is, 2010 HT with most County options but not full County spec.

First step is to break up some of the white with black headlight surrounds, wingtops, sills etc.
De-cat, EGR blank, airbox mod in anticipation for re-map.
Also internally I want to add a bulkhead removal bar, MUD roof console, glovebox and the trim sections for the hardtop sides.

A lot of ideas spinning around my head at the moment with the excitement so expect much more to be added.

Tom

I'll be carrying out the smashy internal CAT modification to keep it MOT friendly, which is a shame as when I decatted my 300tdi disco I managed to get £60 for the CAT on ebay! Thumbs Up

I fell foul of getting a premium price for mine to have the rule change hit me in February. I got one made as I had a stainless system.

A little correction, it is actually Alaska White according to Topix. Embarassed

Should be collecting thurs-fri this week, I've already bought some bits to add on as well as some security kit as my last 90 went walkabouts!!
Also have a substantial order to place at Mud but may wait and get it at Peterborough next week.

I want to extend the headlining into the rear, the genuine article is veeeeeeery expensive, a Simmontes one is £180. I'm considering buying a saggy 2nd hand one and recovering both sections in faux Alcantara although not too dark as I will be fitting the Mud roof console and don't want that to stand out too much. Someone help me make a decision!?

Well Kevin at Mud is on a stand directly opposite ours at Peterborough. You will have to walk a long way to have a good look at Barbara's white 90 (Fuji white) Razz

There are a few nice touches on that 90 even if I say so myself! Hopefully I will have time to do a few further modifications before the Peterborough show. That includes fitting a Mud PHD, some new Nolden DRL etc etc.

Edited to add. If you are thinking of a remap both Pete of Bell Auto and Gary of Alive will be at Peterborough. These I would trust with a remap and have done. There are many other so called remappers around who are cheaper if not a lot cheaper then Pete or Gary. Would I personally trust a cheap remap on our vehicles? NO! Yes we have been offered them at shows for as low as £100 but was not tempted as I need a proper working vehicle. Pete and Gary have rolling roads for development work and figures quoted for improvements in power/torque are genuine figures rather then pie in the sky figures

So go talk to Pete and Gary and tell them what you want to achieve, do not be tempted with a cheap generic remap would be my advice.

I trust you'll be taking some Nak stainless bolt kits to Peterborough Brendan?

Yeah, for the remap I was going to speak to Gary and go over to Alive as it isn't too far from home, I'd like to get it rolling roaded and get a proper print out a well as wanting a few other bits from them Rolling Eyes BAS is also only about 10-15 mins from my parents house so I'm spoilt for choice.

Too many things I want, too little money available and I want it all now!! Big Cry Laughing

Pick up has been put back another week due to a cock up with paperwork! Big Cry

However, I've had a dig around in the garage and the burning question is do I go modern or retro? Mr. Green

When I saw you'd written KBX Steve I'll be honest and say I thought it wouldn't look right on a white truck. Then yesteday twisted posted these pictures on facebook. Cool

The one with the black additions is exactly how I want to go forward, I almost fell off my chair when I saw how much the wheels are though! £3000! I know there is £1000 worth of rubber on there but I still think £400 per wheel is excessive. I suppose they've got us trapped though, they look so good! Sheep Sheep Sheep
Hopefully Twisted still have that 90 at their office next week when I pick up the 90 as it's only in the next village to the dealership so I can go over and get a good look at it.

Anyway, with regards to the grille I will swap for the standard black headlight surrounds until I pick up a KBX grille.
The Stage 1 gill can go back into hiding in the garage until another project commences. Twisted Evil

I'd be tempted to go down the kbx route aswell.
Im not normally a fan of there work but have you had a look at the kahn wheels, the other good thing is as a company they will do you a deal, where the only way you'll get the twisted wheels cheaper is holding out for a set second hand. Thumbs Up Defender puma dormobile camper
