TD5 110 dead after transfer box swap (electrical)
Hello,

Have an issue with my TD5. It is refusing to crank along with having no gauges on the dash. Lights, stereo etc work, relays and fuses all good, a bit of oil on the red ecu connector. It has a arianne alarm system fitted but I did not think it worked. I am wondering if it has immobilized itself due to the battery disconnect? I have no fob for the alarm. It is a farm spec model and was running fine before the transfer box swap. All the earths are clean as well.

Anyone have any experience of this? Fuel pump comes on and the starter relay clicks but nothing on the dash.

Thanks

James

All I can think is immobiliser come back to life due to fiddly with battery, or possibly damaged the loom as it goes over the top of the box?

I thought the loom over the box might be worth a shot as well. How hard is it to remove an aftermarket immobiliser? Its scotch block city behind the dash Sad

main earth lead from battery to transfer box ?

normally bolts to transfer box , so you would have taken it off , have you refitted it ?

Check all your relays under drivers seat.

Isn't there an earth that goes onto the trans box?

What does starter do when you try to start?

Have you checked all fuses, including those underseat?

+1 Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.
