The insides full of it too. Even the floor in the cab is made of it! Thumbs Up

im not liking the silver chequer plate on mine, i dont know if its the contrast between black and silver but i dont think it looks very nice, im going to try Plasti Dip tomorrow on all the chequer including wing tops, satin black and see what it looks like. Im not expecting it to be too durable but for a £10 can im willing to give it a shot, powder coaters wanted £30 per piece of chequer plate which i thought was quite alot. il post some pics when its done.

Don't forget to spray some etch primer on first or the top coat will flake off before too long.

I have just painted all the chequerplate on the front of my ex EA 110, two light coats of etch primer with a roller to get good coverage followed by two good coats (second one whilst the first still ever so slightly tacky) of satin black machine paint- hoping that if its good enough for digger buckets it should be ok on my wing tops!

From what I read prior to doing it and having painted a couple of bits beforehand the secret is to get a really good key first and degrease really well. I used a fairly soft cup brush on a drill, followed by meths to get a good clean.

Black chequerplate on a white 110 is the future. looks SO much better now everything is painted up. Have just done the roofrack to match too. If anyone is interested and I could put up befores and afters.

Chris

If you have to have chequer plate, then it's got to be black Razz
