How do you apply this stuff? The leak in my windscreen is starting to annoy me.
Thanks ciao Smile

You just squeeze out the liquid around the windscreen seal or any other suspected cracks. The liquid will pentate into any openings and seal it. I applied it around the alpine windows as I suspected these.

I still have no idea where the water got in but the problem is gone. Very Happy

So, say you had a leak emanating from the bonnet hinge bolts (where they go through the bulkhead) you are saying that you just apply this product around the hinges, and the leak source will be found & sealed? If you apply this way, does not the duco become affected by the product, or not?
Thanks, Pickles.

Yes, I would apply it around the hinges and probably also around the bolt heads. But if you have found the source for the leak then I am sure there are better ways by removing the hinges and put on some sealing compound like Sikaflex.

Hans, thanks. I was just wondering whether this stuff damages the paint, or can you just wipe off the excess from any painted area which might come into contact with it during its application?
Pickles.

It will not damage the paint as far as I know and you could wipe off any excess. I used it on the roof which is white and if I look very close I can notice a slight discoloration. I guess this will polish off but I have not tried.

One of the other forum users suggested - Captain Tolleys creeping crack cure. Its a very fine glue sealant that follows the same path as the water and seals the ingress hole. I used it on the inside of my 110 and it seemed to work well. I also siliconed the holes on the rear rivets above the back door which helped the issue go away totally.
