Side light just started to flicker
Hi All

2014 110 CSW. LED headlights, sidelights (front and side) and indicators fitted back in 2015. All working perfectly for the last 10 years. One of the front side lights has just started to flicker. New battery installed just a couple of months ago.

Any suggestions where I start to check please, or could the light itself be giving up the ghost?

Many thanks.

Swap side to side

If the same lamp still flickers then it is the lamp

If the swapped over light flickers then it is an earth/wiring problem

Well that's a brilliantly simple and logical suggestion. Thank you! Thumbs Up

Flickering is most likely an issue with the LED driver electronics inside the light. There are a bunch of you tube channels where people take this stuff apart and analyse the circuit and components and often they find cost cutting measures that significantly shorten the lifespan. Obviously all is fine within the warranty period.

I had a lot of these 12v LEDs go bad on me, including once a set of brake lights! Scary. You can try to buy branded hopefully quality parts or revert back to incandescent bulbs. Or just accept you need to regularly check and might need to change them out occasionally
